Over the past decade environmental modelling (EM) has become increasingly seen to be significant, and is now seen as an important application of GIS. Both public and private sectors are now concerned about the environment, and widely recognise the need to assess and prevent against potential impacts. This book aims to focuses on modelling, rather than on data collection or visualisation and aims to develop critical users for GIS and EM.
